Aralas Cane
Former Warden of Thalanor and the party's living tie to the Ancient Heart.
Campaign archive
A public archive for the story so far: Runemar's burning crater, Thalanor's missing Heart, Feywild bargains, broken magic, and the party now standing before a war that history may have remembered wrong.
The road has led from a ruined festival in Runemar to the glowing threshold of the Feywild, and now into a past where the Ancient Heart is already gone.
What started as a hunt for the Masked Man has become a mystery of stolen names, drained leylines, rewritten history, and the question of whether the Shattering War was ever what Thalanor claimed.
Runemar's Festival of Flame ended in disaster when a grand magical display imploded, erased the city square, and opened the way for demons and a porcelain-masked figure who called the carnage only the beginning. Sal, Aralas, and Perric survived the blast, fought through the streets, and were pulled into the Firewatch's hunt.
The trail carried Team Biscuit from Runemar into forest trouble, Paige the Sage's prophecy, Stratta's stolen Riffaxe, Sterling's tower, and a Battle of the Bands that somehow became a legitimate victory. Back at the crater, strange runes and a buried metal box pointed toward Aralas's homeland: Thalanor in the Greenwood.
Thalanor was alive but wrong. The wardens had changed, the Ancient Heart was being tied to a Feywild siphon, and Aeloria's silence told Aralas what his father would not. Team Biscuit crossed into the Feywild, met Sylvara, recovered stolen names, found the machine, and broke it in a storm of raw magic.
When the light cleared, the party woke in a thriving Greenwood before the Shattering War. The Cane family was unknown, the drow had not yet vanished, and the Ancient Heart was already missing. The old story may be false. The war may not have been fought to protect the Heart. It may have been fought to claim it.
